84, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 28, 2018. She was the beloved companion to her partner of over 40 years; the late Edward S. Major, and ex-wife of the late Patrick P. Pino. Born in Pawtucket, RI on February 19, 1934 she was the daughter of the late James A. and Ann (Brady) Hill.
Claire enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid New England Patriots fan and also enjoyed reading books. Claire was a strong woman; she was a kind, selfless, and generous person who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children; Patricia A. Hereth and husband, Stephen, Kathleen M. Pendergrass and husband, Edward, Nancy G. Audette and husband, Joseph, Patrick R. Pino and wife, Jodie, ten grandchildren; Becky and Stephen Hereth, Angela Cornell (Michael), Nicole Whittaker (Scott), Katie Pendergrass (Richard), Emma Campbell (Anthony), Edward Pendergrass (Nataly), Derek Pendergrass (Stephanie), and Luke and Austin Audette, nine great-grandchildren; Gabriel Cornell, Alayna and Addison Riley, Alexia Stone and Raeden Todd, La’Nyah, Anthony and Aviah Campbell, and Christian Pendergrass, her sisters; Nancy Agnew, Lucille Hathaway and Ann Sanders (John), brother; Francis Hill (Joan), as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her sister; Lois DeLuca and her brother; James Hill.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 2, 2018 at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI. Burial will immediately follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1 Rhode Island Ave., Johnston, RI.
